Welcome to the Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association of Dallas, Texas

TVBA is dedicated to educate members and the public on subjects related to bees, beekeeping practices, and laws or ordinances that regulate beekeeping and products of the hive. To provide liaison to and coordination with governmental agencies and programs affecting beekeeping.

April Presentation Topic: To Bee or Not To Bee, with Janet Smith.

The identification of the insects in our garden isn't all that easy at first glance. Particularly irksome is determining if that little striped fellow flying around our garden is a bee... or a wasp... or something else!

Joining us in May so that we may better understand how to identify one tiny friend from another is Dallas' own Janet Smith, a North Texas Master Naturalist, Texas Master Gardener, renowned speaker and volunteer with too many certifications to mention here.

Her talk explores the differences between bees and wasps and explains how they live. It also profiles a variety of native and imported bees and how they help in plant reproduction. One thing is for sure- she's a Master at making us LAUGH! That comes Naturally!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO OUR MEETINGS.

Established in 1969, Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association has served beekeepers and nature enthusiasts for 55 years! A 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, TVBA’s goal is to educate the our membership and the public on subjects related to bees, beekeeping practices, state and local laws or ordinances that regulate beekeeping and products of the hives. We strive to provide both liaison to and coordination with governmental agencies with programs and activities affecting beekeeping. Our members are from Dallas and the surrounding areas of North and East Texas and beyond. All are welcome at every meeting or event!

TVBA hosts Monthly Educational Meetings with various topics of interest relevant to both the seasoned beekeeper as well as the beginner beekeeper or simply any bee-lover. Each meeting includes a Speaker Presentation, an optional Beginner Beekeeping Class, Seasonal Content and of course- fun and fellowship with like-minded people.
